The Oldest Pub in Scotland

Last Sunday We went to the Sheep Heid, the oldest surviving pub in Scotland. It's located on the other side of Arthur's Seat in Duddingston, so we walked from Newington across the Seat and down into Duddingston. We stopped first to see their lovely old kirkyard and then went off in search of food and drink. The Sheep Heid was busy but we were able to get a table after only a few minutes and soon settled into a Sunday roast and a pint.
